  • Finding Freedom In Owning Your Own Business  By : Amanda M.
In order to truly find freedom in your life, you must first be in control of your situation. The only way in which I have found and have heard experts speak on the topic is to become an entrepreneur. Now many of you may be saying, "How does a person open a business in this poor economy?" The answer is to think outside the box. Today, Internet businesses are rapidly expanding as traditional businesses in some industries are flailing. Traditional business owners may find themselves stressed out personally and financially over the never-ending flow of bills to pay despite declining work loads. The home based Internet business sector is expanding in today's economy and the entrepreneurs of these businesses are experiencing financial and time freedom. When you find a home based Internet business opportunity that has been properly created, you will also find individual entrepreneurs who are experiencing work loads of about 30 hours full time, and annual incomes of multiple 6 and even 7 figures.
Home based business entrepreneurs can truly create freedom for themselves and their families. They are able to set their own work schedule, put in the amount of effort they wish to generate the income they desire, and work from their home or anywhere else they choose. Speaking of working from wherever you choose, I recently went on a family vacation to the beach. While my husband and various family members took off an entire week of vacation time from work to come, I had to ask no one for permission to leave. I was able to occasionally check my emails, contact leads, and work as much or as little as I chose around beach and pool time. It was truly a stress-free vacation for me as I looked forward to coming home to continue working my business as opposed to dreading everything that had to be done upon my return.
Although, I wish it wasn't so, the only true security net in corporate America today is to be an entrepreneur. Using your creativity and perseverance you can become a successful home based Internet business owner. These businesses require no previous knowledge, you can begin earning money your first day, and learn the necessary information as you go, growing your business at whatever pace you choose. Isn't it about time you really lead a life of freedom? Home based internet businesses are not too good to be true, but if anyone tells you making millions overnight is a piece of cake, they are lying to you. Begin the process of living life on your own terms financially, personally, and with time freedom today by considering a home based Internet business.
  • Discover the Secrets to Worms  By : Helen Disler
Back in antiquity, Aristotle called them the "intestines of the Earth," but it took several more centuries before earthworms were systematically studied -- by Charles Darwin who wrote a whole book on the importance of worms in breaking down dead organic matter, enhancing soil structure, and maintaining soil aeration, drainage and fertility. Darwin calculated that earthworms in the soil add about eleven tonnes of organic matter per acre (about 18 tonnes per hectare) each year; modern scientists believe that where worms abound they can move up to 250 tonnes per hectare per year.

According to Darwin, earthworms have an acid reaction in the upper part of their digestive canal which affects the soil and organic matter passing through the canal. Calciferous glands in their gut secrete carbonates of lime, which slowly neutralise the acidic particles and eventually change the reaction to alkaline as the transiting soil reaches the lower part of the digestive canal. As earthworms feed, the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio in organic matter progressively declines. Nitrogen is converted into more usable ammonium or nitrate forms; phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients are also converted into readily available forms.

As various kinds of mineral and organic particles pass through the earthworm digestive canal, they get mixed very close together to form aggregates, which improve the drainage and moisture-carrying capacity of the soil. These organic matter-mineral aggregates have great water stability and enhance other characteristics of the soil. Various investigators believe that as much as 50% of aggregates found in surface layers of the soil come from earthworms.

In addition to aggregates, earthworms also play very important roles in forming soils, improving soil structure and enhancing its physical characteristics. Modern agriculture utilises earthworm products in various ways.

    Worm composting
Also called 'vermiculture,' the term refers to the production of humus from organic matter by using a combination of microorganisms and earthworms. Unlike other composting processes, worm composting does not require heat to degrade and stabilize organic material; instead, it makes use of intimate interactions between the earthworms and the microbes that live in their intestinal tract and in the organic material. Worm composting yields two economically valuable products -- vermi-cast and vermi-meal.

Earthworm casts consist of remains of digested organic matter, mucous and nitrogen-derived substances. The texture of these casts is finer than can be found in traditionally composted wastes. Vermi-cast is superior to inorganic fertilisers in its ability to provide growth nutrients. Apart from the normal N-P-K (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) contents, vermi-cast delivers enzymes, beneficial microbes, and growth hormones. Vermi-meal is a protein-rich meal made from ground earthworm meat. Its protein content is about 62% with 11% fat. It can be used as an ingredient for animal feeds.

    Worm juice
Worm juice is a special product from earthworms. It also contains some N-P-K, but its major benefit comes from its plentiful supply of nitrogen-fixing bacteria (about 100,000 CFU/ml), trace elements, and minerals all mixed in an aerated liquid and immediately available to the plant. Usually applied at the rate of 10 litres per hectare, worm juice helps the soil regain its natural capacity to provide plants with the nutrients they need in readily available form. It is also used as a foliar spray and as dressing on seed coats to increase germination rates.

    Worm compost tea
Also known simply as 'worm tea,' this nutrient solution is a liquefied form of vermi-cast produced from worm composting, further enriched with minerals, essential plant nutrients, and all the various microorganisms so necessary to soil health and enhanced plant growth. Application is easy but it is important that worm tea be applied within 4 hours after the solution is activated. Worm tea is usually applied on the soil, plant leaves, and mulch to promote soil health.

Continued use of earthworms and earthworm products will help you eliminate inorganic fertilisers and other chemicals in your farm.
  • The Top 7 Reasons Why Entrepreneurship Rocks  By : Amanda M.
    1. Mondays
In my previous career Sunday nights always brought on feelings of stress, nervousness and dread. Sunday nights marked the end of the fun! Typically a sound sleeper, Sunday nights I often laid awake for hours with my mind racing about the upcoming week. As an entrepreneur, I am totally relaxed on Sunday evenings and look forward to the upcoming week. I get excited to do what I love on Mondays!

    2. Freedom and Flexibility of Schedule
My typical morning: coffee with the hubby, workout, shower, office by about 9, check email and update social networking profiles, make necessary calls, and then start thinking about lunch. In the afternoon I usually work on marketing, this could always change though based on events, visitors, vacations, etc. I get things done... on my own time. I have no one looking over my shoulder, ready to do a performance evaluation, no one to ask permission for time off, and no unnecessary pressure or negativity from a boss or coworker.

    3. Blaze Your Own Trail to Success
As an employee, the thought process is spend a small fortune getting the degree necessary to secure a job, work your way up the professional ladder by adding hours to your workweek and pressure to your life. After working your life away for 30+ years you retire, at which point you pray that your health is in good enough shape to travel a little and enjoy life.
Entrepreneurs start with a dream, a vision, and then most importantly, they take the risk to live that dream. They realize that without taking risks you cannot find the greatest success. Entrepreneurs work their tails off to build up an empire, then proceed to hire assistants and outsource tasks. All the while growing as a person and enjoying the ride. They believe waiting until retirement to travel and enjoy life is silly.

    4. Use Creative Freedom to Find Wealth
Entrepreneurs are great at using new ideas gained through the life-long learning process to continuously change and improve their businesses. Everyone gets bored, as an employee there isn't much you can do about it. As an entrepreneur, you can try new things, whether it is a new product, service, or marketing campaign. You can even go outside of your main business genre to seek creative outlets regarding other passions in your life. There are very few millionaires that are not entrepreneurs. As entrepreneurs we are in control of our own destinies and have the power and ingenuity to create wealth beyond our wildest dreams.

    5. Be Your Own Security
In this time of recession, being your own boss is about the best position you can be in. As entrepreneurs we have options. We can use creative marketing techniques to reach new customers, alter our products, and refine our businesses to continue to find success. Depending on your business and level of creativity, you may work a bit harder to succeed in recession times, or you may even utilize the recession to make your business boom, but either way, you will make it. In corporate America, nobody has a sense of security because nobody is in control of their own destiny.

    6. Join a Motivated, Passionate, and Empowered Group
Entrepreneurs are a unique group. We come together at conferences and events to mastermind, learn, and support one another. As a result of living out our true purpose and passions in life we are a positive, successful, and talented group. Passions become talents that range from stand up comedy, to surfing, to martial arts. Needless to say entrepreneurs make an interesting group. The desire to learn new ways to improve their business makes entrepreneurs a highly educated group always on the cutting edge. Entrepreneurs overcome failure, avoid repeating it, persevere and celebrate their success.

    7. Recession Breeds Opportunity
As the recession wreaks havoc on big businesses with high overhead, opportunities emerge for small businesses. Staying on the cutting edge pays in this bad economy. Finding new markets by way of the Internet, outsourcing, and figuring out what type of product people are really looking for are just a few ways to find unprecedented levels of success. By using their ingenuity, entrepreneurs decide to what extent they will let the recession affect them.

Kudos to all of my fellow entrepreneurs out there, and to those of you with entrepreneurial spirits who haven't made the move yet, I encourage you to think long and hard about what is holding you back.
